[audio]Warren Haynes with The Boston Pops 6.22.2013 Tanglewood music Center - Lenox, MA - booie (rmgd)
Warren Haynes with The Boston Pops 6.22.2013 Tanglewood music Center in Lenox, MA This was a fun show. Warren Haynes at his best. He was playing Jerry Garcia's guitar (Wolf). I think he played very well. This was recorded on the lawn with a pair of Neumann 82i Microphones into a Tascam HDP2. I think I nailed it dead on. It pretty much sounds breath taking. better than when I was at the show. I think I might want to see the Phila show coming up with Warren...

[texts]BBC Research and Development Report Number 1985-01
R&D Report 1985-01 : The 20:16 block code for digital recording and transmission channels. M.A. Parker This report describes a new channel code which offers several advantages; these include a higher frequency of data transitions in the serial coded data, a greater ability to detect errors, and the inclusion of rugged framing information. It was devised for use with magnetic tape recording but is equally applicable to other forms of recording, and has been used for optical fibre transmissions.

R&D Report 1982-14 : Surface-acoustic-wave transversal filters for pulse shaping in digital magnetic recording K. Hacking Several aspects of surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) transversal filters are discussed in the context of their possible application to signal equalisation in digital magnetic recording. The theoretical background to a pulse analysis and synthesis procedure is outlined, together with the principal features of a computer program for SAW filter design...

R&D Report 1990-14 : The computer simulation of digital recording systems C.H. Williams Digital recording systems for television are becoming more widely used in the broadcasting industry. Traditionally, the design, evaluation and performance monitoring of such recorders has relied on conventional laboratory methods and equipment. This report presents an improved approach to these tasks based on the use of a computer to process electrical signals which have been captured from the circuits of the...

R&D Report 1979-14 : Digital recording using hologram arrays: optical design for an experimental 100 Mbit/s recorder. K. Hacking, J.L. Riley The general arrangements used in the construction of an experimental recorder are outlined and several optical design features of the proposed system are discussed in detail. These include the concepts underlying the design of a digit-beam array forming a hologram 'page' and the optical methods for recovering the digital information...

R&D Report 1973-29 : Digital television recording: A review of current developments A.H. Jones This report examines current developments in high density digital recording in the light of the present and probable future requirements of broadcast television recording. Consideration is given to the techniques most likely to feature in future digital television recorders and it is concluded that operational machines could be made using magnetic heads and tape but that the long-term solution may well...
